Anyone wishing to earn 7B/4 recertification credits through Kansas Grain and Feed Association's online course on Nov. 4, must register for the class by NOON today, Nov. 3, 2020. The association is still offering in-person registration as well as walk-in attendance on Wednesday Nov. 4 at Tony's Pizza Event Center (800 The Midway) in Salina. Kansas Grain and Feed Association has received updated guidance from the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) and the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) regarding the COVID-19 truck weight exemption set forth in Governor Laura Kelly’s Executive Order 20-65. The exemption allows for a 10 percent weight waiver (up to 90,000 pounds) on trucks hauling essential goods for direct relief of the COVID-19 pandemic. Paul W. Dalke, age 69, of Grove, OK passed peacefully from this earth on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Paul was born on April 9, 1951 Alvin and Evelyn (Dick) Dalke in Hurchinson, KS. The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) had recently proposed a new regulation (KAR 36-43-1) requiring mandatory minimum crew sizes for rail transport. The Kansas Corporation Commission has received a new electric rate study from the consultant hired the by Kansas Legislature. The purpose of the study was to understand why Kansas electricity rates are some of the highest in the nation.
