KGFA Hosts Barnstorm Rally With Kansas Candidates

The Kansas Grain and Feed Association (KGFA), alongside the Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association (KARA) and Renew Kansas Biofuels Association, hosted a Barnstorm campaign rally Monday, Nov. 2, at the association’s office in Topeka.

The event featured U.S. Rep. Derek Schmidt, who represents Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District, and Sen. Jeff Klemp, candidate for Kansas lieutenant governor. Approximately 40 people attended, including several members of the Kansas House and Senate.

During the visit, Klemp discussed the importance of agriculture to Kansas’ economy, highlighting the state’s grain and feed industry and its role in supporting farmers, maintaining a strong agricultural supply chain and creating opportunities in rural communities.

“Grain and feed businesses are an essential link between Kansas producers and the markets they serve,” KGFA President and CEO Ron Seeber said. “A strong grain and feed industry supports our state’s agricultural economy, creates opportunities in rural communities and helps ensure Kansas remains a leader in agricultural production and commerce.”

The visit provided an opportunity for association members and guests to engage with candidates and discuss issues affecting Kansas agriculture and the state’s economic future.
