Girard, Kan. – The Producers Cooperative Association (PCA) of Girard, KS and Seed and Farm Supply of Liberal & Waco, MO, jointly announce that the companies have reached an agreement that PCA will acquire the grain, feed and agronomy assets of Seed and Farm Supply in Liberal and Waco Missouri. Terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
Brice Elnicki, General Manager of PCA, said the acquisition of Seed and Farm’s assets, the employee talent and facility locations fit well with the desires of PCA to grow their footprint and provide the area producers convenient and competitive markets and service. “We’re committed to serving area producers, grow our trade area and increase returns to our member-owners, this acquisition is the gateway to building a strong future and continued growth”, said Elnicki. “We’re looking forward to building upon the strong business and customer relationships that Marty Bunton and former owners Irene Thomas & Don Bunton have established, and to continue the great customer service that producers have come to expect.”
Martin (Marty) Bunton, President and Owner of Seed and Farm Supply, “believes that PCA will continue the long tradition of customer service that has been a hallmark of Seed and Farm Supply for over 40 years”. Marty is “pleased that Seed and Farm Supply’s customers will continue to have a local source for their needs in Liberal and Waco, MO”.
Martin also announces that he will continue selling and servicing grain handling and storage equipment, as he has for over 47 years, first with Bunton Farms, Inc. and now in his new location in Lamar, MO, continuing the dealership name of Seed and Farm Supply. Titan West cattle equipment will also continue as a product line.
PCA is a 70 year old, full-service farm cooperative offering a complete line of products and services in Southeast Kansas with a main office in Girard Kansas. With a current membership of more than 1,500 members, PCA specialized in grain, agronomy, fuel, feed and farm store offerings. PCA was founded in 1948 and has desires for continued growth through acquisitions and developments to continue to meet the needs of the producer and returns to their member-owners.
