Today, I announce my intention to retire as Kansas Grain and Feed Association’s President and Chief Executive Officer effective March 31, 2018.
This announcement sets into motion a predetermined plan to select my replacement, which will be executed by the association’s elected leadership. Essentially, the plan is to solicit applications for the position in the form of a resume and letters of recommendation until August 15, 2017. These documents can be submitted, in total confidence, to the Creative Business Solutions Inc. website at www.cbsks.com. Please look under “jobs”. The plan is that the new President and Chief Executive Officer will begin sometime in November 2017 and I will remain on through March 31, 2018, to assist the new individual through the first quarter budget planning and Board meetings of all three associations.
This announcement is bittersweet as my time in this role has allowed me to spend 37 years working for the best people in the state of Kansas. I can honestly say I’ve been blessed with a dream job and I have looked forward to coming to work each and every day. However, I am excited about moving into the next chapter of my life.
Thank you to the men and women in Kansas agribusiness for this wonderful opportunity.
