The Kansas Grain and Feed Association (KGFA) elected Pete Goetzmann, vice president of ADM Grain Company in Overland Park, as its new chairman on Tuesday during the organization’s 119th annual meeting in Wichita. Goetzmann was elected by the 16-member board of directors to serve his two-year term as Board Chairman through April 2017.
Goetzmann is the 88th industry leader to serve at the helm of KGFA. He also serves on KGFA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Goetzmann previously served two-year terms as first and second vice chairman, respectively.
“It is an honor to have been chosen by my colleagues to serve as their association leader,” Goetzmann said. “KGFA has a long tradition and 100-year history of serving its members with excellence, and I’m challenged by the opportunity to lead that effort.”
KGFA members also elected Glen Hofbauer, senior manager of The Scoular Company in Overland Park, as their new vice chairman. Jeremy Girard, president of Hannebaum Grain in Salina, was elected KGFA’s new second vice chairman.
